High View Garden Room

Accompanying the works to the bungalow at High View is the garden studio, set within the lower, more intimate area of the rear garden. Its siting was carefully considered to provide structure to the proposed wild garden. The gabled facade is seen from the site entrance, visually connecting with the three new gables of the main house.

Completed under permitted development rights ahead of the main build, the studio allowed us to test materials, techniques, and finishes for use elsewhere in the project. Care and attention were given to the homegrown larch cladding, elevating the studio’s simple form.

Offset double doors open onto the garden, while slot windows in the gables provide varied outlooks from the singular vaulted space, furnished only with a bespoke pine plywood storage wall.
