North Hill Farm Bakehouse

Perched on the eastern slopes of Dundry Hill, overlooking the hamlet of East Dundry, stands a former dairy farmstead. The Victorian farmhouse and its surrounding heavy-stone agricultural structures are arranged around a series of loose courtyards and terraces.

Over time, the farm has been divided, disconnecting the buildings from their original use. The latest custodians of the property approached us to assist in reconfiguring the site to accommodate multiple generations of the same family while maintaining independence and privacy.

Utilising permitted development rights, the first phase of work focused on converting the former bakehouse into a compact yet generous annexe, complete with mezzanine sleeping. The architectural language developed in the bakehouse will inform future projects across the site. This phase is now nearing completion.
